About WBW Solicitors

Our company is one of the largest legal practices in the South West, with 13 offices covering Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

With clearly defined divisions catering for business and private clients, our teams are able to offer the very best legal advice through a full range of legal services, across a wide range of areas and commercial sectors.

With more than 145 legal professionals on our team, visit our ‘People’ page to meet them all.

Community Involvement

WBW Solicitors and Chartered Financial Planners has a long history of working and building relationships with individuals, organisations, and companies in the South West. We are dedicated to providing the best legal and financial services to our local community and, as part of this philosophy, we actively support and sponsor local groups, clubs and charities.

Each year we have a nominated charity of the year, our current chosen charity is Alzheimer’s Society. Alzheimer’s Society’s funded research aims to improve diagnosis, develop new treatments, and improve care and support for people living with dementia.

WBW Solicitors has taken a significant step towards fostering a more inclusive and compassionate society for those affected by dementia. The firm has pledged to become a dementia-friendly organisation, with individuals across the business participating in training sessions to become ‘Dementia Friends.’ This initiative will empower them to provide support to individuals with dementia and their families.

Corporate Social Responsibility

At WBW, we take pride in ourselves for our corporate social responsibility.

We are glad to be fortunate enough that we can provide charitable donations to great causes such as the ‘Make a Will Week’ where we raised £9,165 for Rowcroft Hospice. We are also thankful that we have such vibrant local communities around us with an abundance of activities and events to get involved with, for example, The Big Tackle event organised by Rowcroft Hospice which we have been sponsors of since its inception in 2020.

However, we believe being socially responsible extends beyond the community and charity work that we do. We argue that in order to be truly socially responsible we must actively try to limit our impact on the environment. This is why we have considerably increased our efforts in environmental responsibility over the last few years.

Sustainability and Environment

WBW put the ‘’World first’’ when it comes to sustainability, awareness of our impact on the environment and reducing our carbon footprint. We promote the circular economy principle of reducing, repairing and reusing as much as possible in all thirteen of our offices. When purchasing new supplies we ensure all our paper is 100% recycled and we work closely with our suppliers to ensure the products we use are sustainable wherever possible. Toner Cartridges and IT equipment are also recycled. As the number of our offices expand we ensure travel between locations is limited to essential journeys, and where necessary combined with the delivery of post or stationery.

In order to further offset our impact on the environment, we are using Binit for the majority of our waste removal services and print our business cards only on 100% recycled paper. Binit are experts in commercial waste removal and more importantly, recycling. No matter what recycling and rubbish we produce, Binit have the vehicles and facilities to process it locally and in the most eco-friendly way possible. Nothing gets sent directly to the landfill. They send nearly all the rubbish to be incinerated at Energy from Waste (EfW) plants. These generate electricity and heat that powers homes in the UK. The by-products and bottom ash are generally used in the construction industry and any metal in that ash is recycled. Recycling, such as glass, cardboard or tins are processed at local Material Reclamation Facilities (MRF) and can be taken mixed or source-segregated.
