Yiru Tao is a Tax Assistant in the Tax and Trusts team of the Private Client department. She joined October 2024 and is based in our Exeter Office.

Yiru assists with Tax and Trust related matters, including income tax, Capital gains tax and inheritance tax compliance.

Yiru holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Exeter and qualified as a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) in July 2026. Outside of work, Yiru enjoys cooking and experimenting with international cuisines. She also does photography using both digital and instant cameras, often while hiking and exploring the coastal walks around Devon. Yiru even has two photo walls at home showcasing her world travels, so she is always happy to share travel tips or new recipes.
