Melissa Down is a Chartered Legal Executive in the Private Client department at WBW Solicitors. She joined the firm in 2015 and is based in our Exmouth office.
Melissa specialises in Wills & Estate Planning, Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax Planning and Probate & Estate Administration.
She qualified as a Legal Executive in 2008, becoming a Chartered Legal Executive when the Institute of Legal Executives attained Royal Charter in early 2012. Melissa obtained Probate Rights through CILEx in 2024. Prior to joining WBW, she has worked in firms in Exeter and North Devon and has experience in dealing with estates with an Agricultural element.
Melissa is friendly, approachable and provides complex advice to clients in an easy to understand way.
Outside of work Melissa likes reading a mixture of fiction including, thrillers, World War two fiction, Science fiction and when she is feeling brave enough some horror! She enjoys walking and exploring the beautiful countryside with her Lurcher, Bobo, and owns a campervan and so she goes on adventures further afield whenever possible.
