Malcolm Emery is a Partner at WBW Solicitors in the Private Client department. He is based in our Axminster office.

Malcolm is dual qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Solicitor. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Law Society.

He advises individuals and private trustees on a wide range of Tax and Legal issues including:

• Exit and succession planning for business owners including advice on the re-organisation of businesses to maximise their tax efficiency;
• Preparing complex Wills, Trusts and advising on other structures to mitigate tax and preserve wealth;
• Advising individuals on tax residence, domicile and offshore Tax planning opportunities;

• Advising landowners and farmers on family succession and tax issues relating to the purchase/sale or grant of rights over land;
• Advising trustees on their duties including the set-up, running and termination of all types of trusts including the associated tax consequences; and
• Dealing with the Probate & Estate Administration of deceased individuals’ estates.

Malcolm is currently rated in Chambers and the Legal 500.

Outside of work, when he is not busy as chief taxi driver for his children he follows most sports and enjoys long walks with his Labrador, Brody.
