Amy Read is a Partner in the Private Client Department at WBW Solicitors. She joined the firm in 2013 and is based in the Newton Abbot office.
Amy specialises in Independent Administrator Services ,Powers of Attorney, Probate & Estate Administration, and Wills & Estate Planning.
Amy qualified as a Solicitor in February 2008. She was a member of the Association of Contentious Trust & Probate Specialists (ACTAPs) from 2016 to 2024. She has been a member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers [formerly Solicitors for the Elderly] since 2009.
For the first 16 years of Amy’s career, she specialised in Inheritance Disputes, otherwise known as Contentious Probate. During this time, she also gained extensive experience in all areas of non-contentious Private Client work. Amy now focuses on administering estates with contentious elements. Amy is frequently instructed to administer estates where relations are fractured or where a neutral Independent Administrator is required whilst a contentious probate claim is being attended to.
Outside of Work, Amy enjoys spending much of her free time with her husband and daughter. She loves to travel and spends far too much time cheering her daughter on from the edge of the netball court.
