The South West Chef of the Year is a key event in the culinary calendar and is a true celebration of all sectors of the thriving South West food, drink and hospitality industries.

The winner will be announced at the awards presentation dinner on the evening of Wednesday 24th October.

Last year’s winner of the Best Showcase of Regional Ingredients was Andrew Callaghan, who prepared the following menu:

Main: Pan-fried Sea Bass, apple cider beurre blanc with black garlic, Dauphinoise potatoes, beetroot purée, star anise carrots
Dessert: Dorset Puff Autumn tart with sugar glaze and Pomona infused clotted cream.
