WBW Solicitors are taking part in Exeter Leukaemia Fund’s (ELF) corporate football-related sweepstake for this winter’s 2022 World Cup.

Football is a team game, as is the support provided for blood cancer patients at the RD&E Hospital’s Haematology Centre. ELF urgently need to add to their frontline team at the hospital and are calling upon local businesses to support their emergency appeal, by donating £100 to sponsor a team in their charity sweepstake.

Our £100 donation will help them to reach their goal of funding another Patient Support Coordinator for blood cancer patients in Devon. The Patient Support Coordinator will work closely with the NHS medical team to establish support services outside of the medical treatment provided at the hospital. This includes physical and practical support, mental well-being services, legal advice, and much needed financial support during difficult times. They will be on hand to pick up the pieces after the shock of a blood cancer diagnosis, providing a friendly face to talk to, a shoulder to cry on, and a helping hand when needed throughout a draining treatment schedule.
