The statutory rates of pay applicable to various types of family leave, along with statutory sick pay, are updated annually. The Government has announced the new rates effective from 6th April 2025, as follows:
| Type of Pay | Old Rate | New Rate |
| Statutory maternity pay | £184.03 | £187.18 |
| Statutory paternity pay | £184.03 | £187.18 |
| Statutory shared parental pay | £184.03 | £187.18 |
| Statutory adoption pay | £184.03 | £187.18 |
| Statutory parental bereavement pay | £184.03 | £187.18 |
| Statutory sick pay | £116.75 | £118.75 |
The weekly earnings threshold to qualify for these payments will also increase from £123.00 to £125.00.
Employers should note these rates represent statutory minimums, and higher amounts may be provided at their discretion or as part of contractual obligations. If an employee earns less than the statutory rate per week, their entitlement will be adjusted to match their actual weekly earnings.
