Justin Osborne of WBW Solicitors said he was pleased WBW had been able to extend the sponsorship deal for another year, explaining that a new element to the link between WBW Solicitors and the South Devon Football League is a joint approach to charity fundraising.

“Our charity of the year is Brain Tumour Research and we have a number of fund-raising events on their behalf. The league have offered their support too and will be donating a share of the proceeds from the Charity Shield game to Brain Tumour Research.” said Justin.

The sponsorship presentation was made at the Devon FA ground at Coach Road, Newton Abbot prior to the Charity Shield game between Buckland Athletic Reserves and Waldon Athletic.

“Thanks to the support of WBW Solicitors over many years the league has been able to help our member clubs with their affiliation fees. As local clubs are increasingly pressed for funds, this is undoubtedly a large help to local clubs and local football” said competition chairman Dennis Smith.

The 2016/17 WBW South Devon Football League commences on Saturday 3rd September. To find out more about the WBW South Devon Football League visit www.sdfl.org.uk or like their Facebook page: ‘South Devon Football League’.
