SPONSORS of the Chagford Show, WBW Solicitors, hosted a popular lunchtime food and drinks afternoon at this year’s event.

The South Devon law firm has supported the show for 30 years and this year invited its clients and friends along to the firm’s marquee for wine and canapés.

There at the show was WBW solicitor, Robert Sampson; a stalwart of the community, he has worked with clients from Chagford for many years and said: “It’s great to take the opportunity to meet up with clients who have become friends over the years.

“We have a huge number of farmers who are valued clients and this is a way of keeping in touch with them and hopefully helping them and the next generation.”

Head of the Farms and Estates team, David Charlesworth, underlined WBW’s commitment to the rural community: “The West Country summer show season is coming to an end with much better memories for all concerned that we had last summer.

“We have been to a good few, from Exmoor and Chagford last week to Devon’s County Show, Honiton, Totnes, Okehampton and the Royal Cornwall. Some of ourFarm Team members have even competed. Some have helped organise and some have stewarded and presented prizes.

“We have all enjoyed them. The contrast between shows is part of the excitement, but one aspect links them all; the unique goodwill and good cheer with which they are put together and supported.

“They are such a key part of life in this part of the world for the farm communities and the townies alike.”

WBW have an established practice advising farming and rural businesses. With many in the agricultural team having first hand farming experience.
