When an individual has a Community Care need, the Local Authority has a statutory duty to carry out a Community Care Assessment to establish whether such individuals need a Community Service.
It is imperative that the Assessment provides certain basic information and that a care plan is drawn up.
Where disputes arise in connection with the Community Care assessment procedure, or if you wish to challenge a decision, please contact us for further information. See also NHS Local Authority Complaints and Judicial Review.
