Assessments, reports, advice, management of funds, and implementation orders
Going through the breakdown of a relationship is one of the most stressful events in life. Financial Planning assistance is essential at this time and we have structured the services that we can provide accordingly:
- Initial assessment: Analysing the information provided by both parties
- Gathering of information: Assisting in gathering any further information required to prepare our report
- Preparation of report: Preparation of a detailed pensions report to consider all the options available and whether to divide the assets, including the pension benefits, to provide equality of capital or income
- Providing advice: Recommendations for suitable financial arrangements including pensions, investments and protection
- Implementation of orders: Implementation of any financial order, for example pension sharing and attachment orders
- Ongoing management of investments: Managing the client’s investment portfolio and dealing with their financial planning needs in the future
Evaluation Report
We will provide guidance to the family lawyer as to whether a pensions report is required, and whether this is best dealt with by a specialist pension consultancy, such as ourselves, or a consulting actuary. The initial assessment is provided without charge, after which, we will be able to provide an estimate of the time needed to undertake the work required, with a breakdown being provided before clients commit to incurring any cost.
Implementation of Orders
Once an agreed split has been reached we will look to provide the best solution, where possible in the interests of both parties, to achieve this agreed outcome. Whilst our work is undertaken on a time cost basis, the fee can often be settled from the investment fund, which is usually more cost effective than a commission based arrangement. Our implementation team will liaise with all parties involved, to ensure a smooth and trouble-free implementation of the order
