The Adult Social Care System operates with very tight budgetary constraints which are likely to further tighten following the Comprehensive Spending Review.
A natural but sad consequence of this is that Local Authorities are sometimes forced to change Community Service Provision and close care homes and day centres in due course.
In such circumstances, it can be argued that you have a legitimate expectation to remain where you are or that you must be adequately consulted if such a situation was to arise in the future.
There is an ever expanding body of Case Law in this area as well as various Human Rights Law considerations. Please contact us to discuss these matters further if you, a relative or a friend are in this situation.
