Community Care is not just about those who receive care. It is also about those who provide it.
The NHS Information Centre recently published a survey of Carer's and Households in 2009/2010 which concluded that 12% of people aged 16 or over are caring for the elderly, sick and disabled. This equates to nearly 5 million carers in the UK alone.
As a carer, you have a number of important rights which we are able to ensure are exercised and help to guide you through the complexities of community care matters with their in depth knowledge of this area.
As a carer, you have a right to:-
• Have an assessment;
• Receive support from your Local Authority;
• Receive direct payments
If you provide regular and substantial care for someone and feel that you are not being assessed, assisted or supported by your Local Authority, please contact us today.
