Certain people detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 have the right to receive after care services once they have been discharged from hospital. Indeed, the Mental Health Act places this duty on Primary Care Trusts and Local Authorities.
Have you or someone you know, been sectioned under the Mental Health Act and not received adequate support after discharge? Or, in the context of an elderly person, were they discharged from hospital into a care home? Has the Local Authority discharged their duty to provide services to you or someone else under the Mental Health Act, 1983?
In any of these situations, please do not hesitate to contact us for further advice.
