Acting for victims of child abuse since 1996
Since 1996 there has been very significant increase in the number of cases brought by adult survivors of child abuse. Abuse can occur in the home, whilst in care or in other placements. At last abuse victims, so often ignored in the past, have the confidence to come forward hopefully without fear or embarrassment and claim compensation for their ordeal.
WBW have been acting for the victims of child abuse since 1996. We have brought high profile cases and group actions against various Local Authorities and homes where vulnerable children were abused whilst in care between the 1950s to the 1990s.
Unhappily, child abuse continues despite high profile campaigns by the NSPCC to stamp it out. We have the expertise and experience to help clients in these very difficult and sensitive cases.
Children taken into care should be entitled to rely upon local authorities to safeguard them. There have been many instances whether the authorities have failed them and allowed them to be exposed to danger and abuse.
We have clients throughout the UK and Therese Classon who specialises in child abuse work (being a member of ACAL, the Association of Child Abuse Lawyers) will gladly travel to visit clients.
We may also be able to offer no win no fee agreements in certain circumstances.
