The Family Law team of WBW Solicitors has raised over £1000 for new facilities for the Torquay Contact Centre. The team, lead by head of department Fiona Yellowlees, did a sponsored walk from WBW's offices in Queen Street, Newton Abbot, via the Firm's Torquay Office to the Contact Centre in Morgan Avenue, Torquay, a distance of 10 kilometres, linking the offices of WBW and the centre. The walk took place on Saturday 15th May.

The centre has been fund raising in order to extend its facilities. Fiona Yellowlees, partner and Head of WBW's Family Law team explains "when families break down, there can be difficulties in arranging contact between children and their parents and the contact centre provides a neutral safe venue for the re-establishing of contact after family breakdown or in other difficult family circumstances.

It is often a staging post so that families can re-establish contact and contact can continue away from the centre.

It is therefore a very valuable local resource for Torbay and Newton Abbot and one which we are pleased to support." If you would like to know more about the Centre or WBW's family law services please don't hesitate to contact us.
